BRISTOL BEARS CASE STUDY
RUGBY TRAINING EQUIPMENT | GAMES ROOM
Bristol Bears first reached out to Net World Sports soon after the opening of their new world class training facility on the edge of Bristol. Officially titled the Bears High-Performance Centre, the new site accommodates both first team and Academy, with state-of-the-art facilities including a gymnasium, medical facilities, hydrotherapy, nutrition, administration offices, board room, team analysis room, players’ lounge and a high-quality kitchen and dining room run by a full-time chef.
To match their new elite environment, Bristol Bears required additional training equipment that would also aid in improving the players’ development as they looked to continue their impressive run in the 2020/21 season in the Premiership, England’s top division of rugby.
“We first came across Net World Sports from a member of our team using them at a previous club who said to check them out as they provide a huge range of products” – Jack Targett, Head of Recovery and Medical Logistics at Bristol Bears
Having stocked our own FORZA rugby equipment for a number of years, Net World Sports were confident that our products would be well received by the players and staff at Bristol Bears. With both the first team and the Academy players making use of the equipment, product durability is essential for Bristol Bears when picking the best products. They were not disappointed to discover the high-quality and durability of our FORZA Rugby range - “All great quality and very durable, which helps as they get a lot of use during the week”
Partnering with Bristol Bears and supplying them with our innovative products has also helped us make the improvements we’re looking to make through developing and testing new products, getting first-hand feedback from players and coaches at Bristol Bears along the way.
“Our skills coach ordered a range of equipment to help him develop the players’ ball skills…the usage of these products has been so helpful for all our squads to improve our players skills and overall performance” said Jack.

Finishing top of the Premiership table was very much in Bristol Bears’ sights, and whilst training hard and building partnerships on the field is paramount to their success, the staff also know the importance of the players being able to relax, unwind and develop their off-field relationships in their new players’ lounge. Net World Sports supplied a hot tub as part of the players’ recovery process, and equipped the players’ lounge with gaming products such as table tennis, table football, and a golf putting mat – “they have been great additions to our environment to hold mini tournaments between players as well as casually in players’ downtime…this gives them time to mentally refresh whilst having a busy rugby schedule”.
We’ve no doubt that this successful partnership with a club of Bristol Bears’ stature will continue to develop as we work with the first team and Academy programme to further enhance and expand our rugby product range.
